Cross Correspondence - Free to Read...
To kick of my new, 'Free to Read,' feature, I have made a story from 'Omar the Teller of Tales,' available. The story is, 'Cross Correspondence,' a Victorian era tale of the supernatural set at Christmas time.
A few years ago, I downloaded a Kindle book of mainly Victorian and Edwardian Christmas Ghost stories. It was the sort of value for money anthology that you buy just to scratch an itch, to satisfy a sudden urge. It was surprisingly good, with stories from all the greats like M R James, Sheridan Le Fanu, Algernon Blackwood, Dickens etc and many other works I was unfamiliar with.
Having read twenty, or thirty, such stories in a row, it was sort of inevitable that I would want to try my hand at one. I did and 'Cross Correspondence,' is that story.
It is free to read until 12th night... then, like the Christmas decorations. it will be taken down.
I hope you enjoy it.
